La obra Valor #1 está estructurada en dos partes. La primera es un vídeo en el que se muestra cómo me tatúan de forma permanente la frase “El día de mañana” en la planta de mi pie derecho; la segunda, es la documentación hecha diariamente con un escáner del desgaste que sufre la frase tatuada, como resultado de la fricción diaria al caminar. El proceso de documentación termina cuando solo queda “día de”, que, por su ubicación en el pie, permanecerá inscrito toda la vida.
La inclinación del horizonte temporal hacia el futuro es una de las características de la civilización occidental. Esta tendencia a proyectarnos hacia el mañana condiciona nuestra manera de vivir el presente. La inculcación de este valor es una forma de control del sujeto.

Value #1 is structured in two parts. The first one is a video showing how the phrase “El día de mañana” [The Day of Tomorrow] is permanently tattooed on the sole of my right foot; the second one is the documentation produced daily with a scanner of the wear and tear that the tattooed sentence suffers, as a result of the daily friction when walking. The documentation process ends when the only words remaining on the sole are “día de”, words which, because of their location on the foot, will remain inscribed there for life.
The tilt of the time horizon towards the future is one of the characteristics of Western civilization. This tendency to project ourselves towards tomorrow conditions our way of living in the present. Instilling this value is a form of control over the individual.
